hallelujah

In these uncertain times where so much is changing around us, thank goodness there is ONE who never changes! Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever! His love never changes! How good to know that the Lord is our shepherd.  No matter what is going on in our country, our world, or in our lives, we can breathe a sigh of relief. So today, I invite you to take a moment and just praise God for His goodness.

As I was traveling to Nashville a few months ago, my rental car was running out of gas. (it had not been filled up which I didn't know!) As I prayed and rolled into the nearest gas station, I saw a young man crying with his head in his hands. I approached him and asked if I could pray for him. He agreed. Not knowing what was going on, I just prayed that the Lord would have mercy on him and bring the help that was needed. I found out later that this young man had just lost his sister to a drug overdose. Though the girl was not brought  back to life, I thought, "How merciful of God to bring me at that moment with a touch of love and a prayer!" Though I would never see him again, I went on my journey smiling - knowing that the Lord had sent me to reveal His love by sharing in a stranger's pain.

When I arrived in Nashville, I recorded a video of a song I had been working on....'Hallelujah' by Leonard Cohen arranged for a single violin. I heard the parts in my head and recorded them using a 'loop station'. As I performed the song, my heart was praying for a young man I had met by the side of the road and weeping for a young lady who died way too young.

As you listen, I hope your heart will be inspired to sing 'hallelujah' no matter what you are going through.  As you praise Him, I pray that the Lord will meet you by the side of the road and touch you with His love!!!

rejoicing!
